Crispy Balsamic Garlic Tofu
Ingredients
- 1 package extra firm tofu
- 1 tbs. bragg’s liquid coconut aminos, tamari or soy sauce
- 2 tbs. Balsamic vinegar
- 2 tsp. garlic powder
- 1 tsp. salt and pepper
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 400F.
- Press water out of tofu by wrapping in paper towels and placing a textbook (or a plate with cans – something heavy) on top. Replace paper towels after 5 minutes and let sit for another 5 minutes.
- In a small bowl, mix coconut aminos, balsamic vinegar, garlic powder, salt and pepper.
- Slice tofu into bite sized squares and place in bowl for 10-15 mins (or less if rushed *can also let marinade overnight for extra flavour)
- Place tofu on baking sheet (use parchment paper to prevent it from sticking)
- Bake for 35-45 minutes or until crispy and golden on the outside. (You can also fry in a pan with a bit of avocado oil or olive oil if low on time * note it probably won’t be as crispy)
